Inno Gravity Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Gravity Ski and Snowboard Carrier, and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2024 Subaru Outback. So this style of carrier, a lot of people like because it's gonna be a lot smaller and less expensive than something like a rooftop box. Sure, your skis and snowboards will not be enclosed like they would be with a box, but let's say the place you're going has a parking garage, you're not adding near as much height to your vehicle. So for those low clearance situations, you don't have to worry about it as much, and it's a lot easier to just keep in storage in the off season because this can go on a shelf in your garage much easier than a large 16 cubic foot box. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Grip Skiing Snowboard Carrier, and seeing how it fits on the roof of our 2024 Subaru Outback. Now it's important to note that we are using the factory roof rack on the Outback and that's great because it already comes with your vehicle. You might as well utilize it, and with how close it sits to the roof, you just wanna know right away that it's gonna work. These thinner factory bars don't always work the best with certain rooftop accessories, but this one is great because the bands are thin and low profile, and adjustable so they can get nice and snug on there, and you don't have to worry about it shifting around on your roof. The other benefit to this style of carrier for your skis and snowboards is that it's much more low profile, and generally is going to be less expensive than something like a rooftop box, which a lot of people like for skis, and snowboards. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FatCat Evo 4 ski and snowboard carrier on our 2023 Subaru Outback. Now this is gonna be a roof-mounted ski and snowboard carrier, capable of carrying a good amount of either one. We'll give you exact measurements later on in the video here, but this design is going to be two spring-loaded jaws that hold everything in between these thick rubber pads. This style is really nice because it's lightweight, pretty easy to install, very easy to store when it's not in use, and it's low profile. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier, and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2023 Subaru Outback. This style of roof mounted ski and snowboard carrier is gonna hold your gear in between these two spring loaded jaws. They have very thick rubber padding in them that's going to clamp around your stuff, keeping it protected and cushioned, but also providing grip to make sure everything stays still and doesn't shift around whenever you're going down the road. It's very secure in there. more

That's gonna do a couple of things, protect your gear and make sure it doesn't get scratched up or scuffed, but then it's also going to grip it and make sure that it doesn't slide back and forth, and keep it really sturdy on the roof. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Inno gravity skiing snowboard carrier on the 2022 Subaru Outback wagon wilderness. This is gonna be a great way of transporting your gear to and from your destination while saving extra room in your vehicle, especially with your ski and snowboards you might not want to make the interior of your vehicle wet, damp, muddy, or whatever but it's gonna leave you a lot of extra room to carry a roof basket, a roof cargo basket so that you can carry your snowy winter boots or anything else like that with you on your trip. You can carry up to two snowboards or three fat skis in this carrier. And depending on the thickness of your gear then just do one click for the fatter skis and two clicks for the things that fit. It's gonna be made out of a durable plastic on some of the parts and the rest of the areas are made out of a aluminum. more

So what that's great for is actually locking this up, right Making sure that our skis and our boards are staying on top of our vehicle when we are leaving it unattended. And it just does a great job of actually securing our boards and our skis. more

And today we're taking a look at the Yakima FreshTrack snowboard and ski carrier for four skis or two boards here on our 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness. So this is gonna be a pretty decent way of getting your skis and your boards on the roof of your vehicle and get those out of our vehicle in that way, makes it a lot easier to start road tripping with a lot of people, get all that cargo inside or even leave some room for something like a cargo box or a cargo basket on the other side. So, really do like how this system works, can make it just a little bit nicer getting to the slopes, which is great. Now I will say, I think there's a few carriers that kind of do the job better than this guy. more

Yakima Ski and Snowboard Racks Review - 2020 Subaru Forester- Video
Evangeline: Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we are looking at our Yakima-FreshTrack 4 Ski & Snowboard carrier, here on our 2020 Subaru Forester. So this is a great option if you are looking for something to carry your skis and your snowboard safely and securely, it's awesome because this brings them to the roof of your car and not inside your vehicle. A nice bonus is that on the off season, you can use it as a fishing rod holder too. What I like to do actually is to pick up the separate Moki door step, which will allow me to get up there as I mount and dismount my skis, especially since the Forester is a little bit higher off the ground, and I need the extra height to get my skis and snowboards off this carrier.The way this is designed is that it has this nice large push button here that can also be locked. We have it unlocked right now, so even if you're wearing thick gloves, you can just use the palm of your hand to press that button and it springs up and it stays up. It also has these nice rubber blades on the inside as well as a ratcheting mechanism so that when you bring it down, even if you have thin or thick skis and snowboards, it comes all the way down to secure them. more

This is a great option if you just want to carry your skis, your snowboards up above here, car and not inside filling your car with puddles and snow and possibly dirt.This is a nice carrier. It has a good amount of space in here for your different snow port equipment. You can fit up to six pairs of skis or four boards. Right here we have two skis and one snowboard, of course, it'll depend on the size of your own equipment, but it's a pretty good amount of space here. This also locks, so this comes with a key and it's a same key system for Thule. more

You see that we have it up here on our factory cross-rails, but you can use it on your aftermarket ones as well, whether that be a round bar, elliptical bar, square bar, or even your factory cross bars like you see here. Part number Y03088. We'll show you how to put the back one on since we've already got the front one in place. Make sure you have the straps open and ready to receive your cross rails. Today on our 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be doing a test fit on our factory cross bars of the Yakima Fatcat ski and snowboard carrier. This is going to fit six skis side by side of four snowboards. Part number is going Y03Y088. Let's go ahead and put it up top and see how it looks and fits on our Subaru. First thing you're going to want to do is take your Fatcat and undo the straps and make sure they're out of the slots and make sure they're ready to receive the cross bars. Find whatever side you're going to favor, that's going to open up, like so. Which, we're going to fave the passenger side and place it on top of your cross bar. more

Today on our 2006 Subaru Outback wagon well be test fitting the Yakima Fatcat 6 locking rooftop ski and snowboard carrier with a six ski or four board capacity, part number Y03088. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle well begin by placing half of our carrier onto our front crossbar. Well bring the rubber-coated strap around our bar, fitting it back into the foot of the carrier. Well then close the buckle and push the oversized button on the end of the jaws to open up our frame jaw. On the inside well flip up the thumb tab connected to this foot. Well tighten it until its snug and then push it back down. more

Today on our 2006 Subaru Outback Wagon, we'll be test fitting the Whispbar Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier with a six ski or four board capacity part number WB-300. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing half of our carrier onto our front bar. We'll bring the rubber coated strap around our front bar, fitting it back into the foot of the carrier. We'll close the buckle, and then open up our frame jaw by pressing the oversize button here on the end of our carrier.We'll flip up the thumb tab, tighten it until it snags, and push it back down. We'll move to the other side and repeat this process. We'll grab the other half of our carrier and place it on to our rear bar. We want to make sure that both halves of our carrier are in line with each other. more

Today, on our 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon, we'll be test-fitting the Yakima FatCat 6 Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier, with a 6-ski or 4-board capacity, part number Y03088. We'll begin our test-fit by placing the front part of the carrier onto the front load bar. We'll open up the carrier, exposing the two black levers. We'll bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the front bar, hook them into the connection points, and tighten down the black levers and clamp them down. We'll then repeat the same process for the rear part of the carrier. With everything all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our gear. more
